How I did it Tuesday – 9th Feb

Yesterday I showed you this, today I show you how:

I did this edit in Lightroom using presets and brushes. I used One Willow’s Retro Candy presets. As I mentioned recently, Retro Candy is different than most presets because they are buildable which I haven’t experienced with any other presets before. When you choose a base preset, you can then add what she calls (post)sets to amp up or tone down different elements of the base preset. Genius!

For this image, however, I didn’t choose a preset, it edited it almost entirely with Retro Candy’s (post)sets!

My Recipe

After the presets, I used a skin softening brush, a hairbrush and a brush to amp up the contrast/clarity/sharpness of her eyes. Read this from last week if you don’t know what I mean about the brushes. Easy peasy – all in all, about 30 seconds to perfection.
