I’m and American living in England. In America, the yearly photo session, newborn photos, maternity photos, school graduation/senior photos are just normal life occurrences. Even as a teenage bride, I knew that the wedding photographer was the number one priority and every year thereafter, too! But here in England, it’s just not this way and I find myself suggesting things that folks had never thought of before. Like photographing their newborn before they morphed into a teenager! I’m surprised at how many find this to be a groundbreaking idea.

I’ll say it again: photography isn’t just for documenting momentous occasions. It’s so much more than capturing memories. Photography makes memories!
