Only yesterday, I discovered these amazing overlays for PS and I’m smitten. They’re called Eye Candy, created by Jessica at Vol25. They’ll push your work over the edge into quirky funkiness and undeniable adorability (how’s that for some adjectives?)

For this shot, I used Totally Rad’s ‘Old Skool HQ’ action (part of the ‘Color Blind’ set). I then went into my folder of landscapes and skies that I keep handy and grabbed this shot of a strawberry field from last summer. I dragged it onto the photo OVER the Old Skool action layer, applied it in the hard light blending mode at a low(ish) opacity. I then used clouds from one of the Eye Candy overlay sets. To fill them in, I created a new layer, painted that layer in with white and used the Eye Candy distressing brush (comes in the Ahoy set) to distress the finish of the clouds.

Here, I used Florabella’s action called ‘Mink’ from the new ‘Luxe’ set of actions. I then added some clouds from the Eye Candy clouds set of overlays and lowered the opacity so they’re a bit transparent.

Lastly, this adorable shot was edited with Isabella LaFrance’s FREE action called 1-2-3 Vintage. I then added a text overlay from Eye Candy!
