I’ve begun to tackle the question of how to make a B&W from scratch. Yesterday, I posted about how to do it in Elements and today, we’ll look at the full version of Photoshop and the way to do it in there.
This is where you go to access the B&W options in PS4:

When you choose Black & White, you’re met with the following screen where you can adjust the colour levels within the photo. Of course, the photo doesn’t have colours IN it, but every B&W does have colours BEHIND it and this is what you’re adjusting with those sliders:

After adjusting these, consider something special like texture layers to really add pizzaz to your new, made-from-scratch B&W!
